Help Access/recover internal memory from dead Galaxy S5?

Hi, my Galaxy S5 is dead. Kaput. I've taken out the SD card and have that. But before I put the phone in a recycling bin, I'd like to access the internal memory to see what is there that I might want to recover and/or delete. I've seen some software offers that say they can connect my Windows machine to the phone to do this, but without outside reviews I'm nervous. Thanks in advance for your advice!

yeah after some research, there is not much out there, especially for an older phone. there are some services that might be able to do it, but some i have read are scams and some will ask a lot of money to do it.

if the phone had some power, there are some possibilities out there.

Yeah, key question is exactly what sort of dead is it?

Though if you just want to delete stuff taking a chisel to the storage chip would delete it beyond recovery

I'm wondering as well, especially when there are a lot of the older S4 that still work out there.
