Access to accelerometer data

[casperg]

Hi there,

Apologies if I posted in the wrong section.

I'm a student doing a project on road safety and I was wondering if it's possible to access the accelerometer data from my galaxy s +.

I have no java experience to speak of. I want to look at changes in acceleration and gps coords

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know if it's accessible but I'm pretty sure you won't be able to access it without Java.

Thanks for the reply Jim.

Off to find a book on Java

You should try the app GPS status. It gives you data on pitch/roll, acceleration (g), elevation, coordinates, heading and orientation. Basically it reads and outputs every sensor on your phone.
