Accessing a NAS storage unit in a workgroup

Hi
I have a NAS storage unit setup in a wireless workgroup I just wondered if anyone new of any way to access the NAS units files from my phone.

I have a HTC Desire running Froyo.

Thanks!

Several of the file managers include the ability to connect to Windows shares on a LAN. Astro File Manager + the Astro SMB Module work well for me.

If your NAS unit uses standard SMB file sharing, then this should work fine, but if you have to load special software on your computers to access it, this may not work.

thanks for the reply,

I can access the NAS unit from my laptop over wireless without having to install additional software.

I have installed the Astro SMB module but am struggling to configure it. Do I use SFTP or SMB to connect. If I have to use SMB there is a line for inputting a DOMAIN but I am not on a DOMAIN I am set up in a WORKGROUP.

Anymore advice would be greatly appreciated!

I also have a workgroup setup, and the only fields I filled in are:

Connection Type: SMB
Label, Server, Share, User Name, Password.

Fields I left blank are: Domain, Directory.

To get it working I had to open up port 445 in my router and point it to the NAS IP address. 445 is the port for SMB protocol.
