accessing my pc files

Coming from a RAZR I got used to motocast to access my PC from anywhere. It was great. Doesn't disrupt anyone at home if they are on it and I could view or download whatever I needed. That and the combo of having a HDMI wire was awesome. I'm finding ways around the HDMI but what do u recommend for accessing my PC from anywhere?
 
When I wanted to get photos off my phone, I never got Motocast to work right. I found that Airdroid worked wonderfully for that.

Airdroid has a ton of features, including moving files on and off the phone.
