I recently got caught in a storm with my LG G4 and since then the screen doesn't respond to touch input. The device turns on normally, but at the lock screen, none of the keys work. I also have to pull the battery to shut it off again. I have put it in rice with the battery and cards out of it for 48 hours and still nothing.
It seems my only option is to send it to LG for repairs (they say they'll get it going again for $150, which I don't mind paying). My concern however is a loss of data (I've heard sometimes they wipe the phones memory during repairs). I need the contents of it, most importantly all the sms messages and my contacts. Is there any way to operate the phone to get to my smsbackup app i already have installed on the phone so I can at least move my messages to my computer and not have to worry about it?
