Accessing SMS attachments

While I can send photos attached to text messages with my Tattoo, I am unable to download and access attachment sent by SMS to my phone. Anyone got any solutions for this? A 31 KB MMS attachment shouldn't be that hard to access!
 
Yeah, it's not very intuitive. You have to click and hold on any part of the message that is just text. Eventually a window will pop up and one of the options will be to save the attachment.
 
You could try downloading a program called Handcent and using that as your SMS program. I use it instead of the default program and find things so much better and easier.
