Accessories Thread

Any updates on the desk top holder-charger? Last I heard they were not shipping until the 30th. Oh, and I just realized it won't work with a case. Humm.
 
I just received my free case from tpu-cases.com . Now I can pretend I'm talking on my Epic 4G Touch:

If you have ever had a TPU case, this one is typical in feel and fit. In fact, the TPU-cases.com fit is perfect in every way. The necessary cut-outs for the camera, mic, and power button are spot on. I like the fact that the recessed power button has a cut-out hole because it is used so often. On the other hand, the volume rocker, which sticks out slightly, is covered by the case.

The look is a bit different because you can order matte backs. This is similar to the difference between the Evo backs that have a rubbery substance on them and the Samsung backs that have glossy plastic. At TPU-cases.com, you have a really large selection of designs and textures.

I like the different matte look, and TPU are my favorite case type because they are the least intrusive, fitting tight against the phone while having a soft feel. They are easily removed for battery replacement, and you don't feel as if you might break the case at any second as you do with hard cases that have small plastic prongs holding the case together.

The nice thing is that the TPU cases are inexpensive, so you can swap out the look and feel anytime you want.

Finally, I have found any type of hard case to eventually scratch glossy phones. (No matter how careful you are, small pieces of dirt and sand wedge between the case and the phone.) Not so with TPU cases.

I compare the difference between TPU cases and hard cases to the difference between a condom and a chastity belt: They are both effective, but one is much more comfortable.

I really like cases from Seidio and Incipio. Sadly I contacted both companies and they both stated that they have no plans on making cases for the Epic 4G touch at this time. I thought this was interesting because they both make cases for other major sprint phones. I wonder if sales for this phone are not expected to be that great.

Not that big of a deal! But I do want a good case for my phone.

That's interesting. I really like seidio too and was hoping they'd come out with one. Thanks for the heads up

I wonder if enough of us enquired about it if they may change their mind.

I also wonder if they may just be waiting to see how big of a seller this phone will be before deciding to make cases for it.

Has anyone seen any hard cases with a holster? I have to have a holster I am so use to using it with my Evo 4G, right now I have a Platinum Series case with a Holster that I got from best buy when I use to work there while in college. Im looking for a cheaper version that is similar with the Epic Touch
 
My phone should be arriving early next week and I am just ordering my accessories. Does anybody know if the micro sd card has to be a certain class to work in this phone? Because the price difference between the different classes of micro sd are pretty significant.

In my opinion, anything above a class 4 is pretty much wasted money. I just purchased a 32GB, class 4 at Amazon for $47, no shipping fee. (SanDisk)
