accidentally deleted text messages

I have just noticed that my phone had the option set to delete text messages older than a number of 50. However, some of the deleted messages were of great importance to me. Is there anyway of retrieving them on my phone using an app of some sort or is it possible to retrieve them through my network provider, Vodafone UK.

in the Contact application, tap the person you want to view deleted history. tap Menu button and then select History.
There you should be able to see a preview of your text messages as well as call history.
