Accidentally deleted tones, how to recover?

How did you delete them? I'd have thought the default tones would be the ones in /system/media, which you won't be able to touch without S-Off - or is your phone S-Off (either because you've modified it, or because you got one of the odd ones that comes that way)?
If you mean you deleted files on the SD card, your best bet is to google for a data recovery utility, and not write to the card in the meanwhile. That has a very good chance of working.
If you did delete files in /system, then if you go to XDA and download a rooted stock ROM (such as teppic74's), unzip the file, and look in /system/media/audio you should find all of the original files, which you could then copy back, or just copy them to a ringtones folder on your SD card and use them from there.
