Hello,

I have a galaxy s5 and had all my google accounts synced with my cell phone. My university's email account is with google and it was synced with my phone until today that I had to change the password. Now when I try to sync the account with the phone it says "account username and password doesnt match". I can sign in on a browser, but cant sync my account with the phone. What should I do?

Thanks

How ever you are accessing your email on the phone you need to change the password there too. For example if I change my password at gmail.com and then when I open my email app on the phone I also need to change it there. Mary

Im trying to change it on the phone, but it keeps telling me the same thing... I even deleted the account and when I try to sync it again it says the same thing...

Are you using the stock email app that came on the phone or the gmail app or what? I would delete the account in the email app and set it up again and log in with the new password. If that still doesn't work then maybe you will have to contact gmail. Mary

Im trying to add an account on the stock app which automatically syncs it with the gmail app, google calendar, etc. However do you onow a number were I can contact google?

When you go to where it says choose an account to set up you have to click other to set up gmail as it's not in the list. I know for me when I set up gmail in the stock app I clicked other and typed in my gmail address and my password and got a message I had to go to gmail.com and enable imap then once I did that I was able to set up the account and have it connect. I have never contacted them but would imagine you could google for email info on how to contact them regarding email issues and I think at gmail.com there are help FAQ's and stuff. Mary
