has anyone else noticed how far off google navigator is? i have used it a couple times and one time it was almost a mile off from the actual location i wanted to go to. or am i doing something wrong?

As a test to check alternate routes I asked it to take me to the Mall of America using voice command, it confirmed 'mall of america' and then took me to downtown Minneapolis....not once but twice! Not even close! On the other hand it seemed to find the bar for the Packer game just fine the week before.

Shopping - no....football and beer - yes....maybe there is something to the Droid's high male user ratio after all. :p

sounds like the droid has its priorities right... just sayin

You wanna know the REALLY annoying one... I just tried to navigate to an address that came up flat wrong... Ok so I thought maybe I can log into google maps and correct the address... I log into google maps and google maps pulls the address up correctly. So where the hell is this data coming from?

Edit: Even stranger... The address is at 3084.... However if I do a google maps search for 3082 or 3086 I get an address near where android wants to navigate me. On the Android app 3082, 3084, and 3086 are all about in the same area. So the plot sickens! Maybe when my friend asked me to navigate to his place and it was wrong (and I told him I could go to google maps to update it) he did just that and the update has yet to propogate to the data the phone uses? But its supposed to be "tied to the cloud" and "using up-to-the-minute data". What gives Google?

I noticed that recently through Weather Widget. It weather is based upon GPS location and it sometime is off...wierd.

Out of curiosity I tried an address about 2 miles from my home and Google navigation tried to send me 15 miles away from that location! It was the same with Google maps. I notified Google of the error and within 2 days I receive a response that they verified that indeed there is an error and stated that it will be corrected with 1 month and let me know what the fix is in.

I'm curious to know that when it gets updated in google maps if things look correct in the android navigation app.

Strange. I have used navigator several times now and each time been taken to the front door of the locations I was trying to reach.

I have had no problems. I usually use maps, voice search, find what I am looking for, then select navigate. Always works fine when I do it that way.

Same here. I've used it many, many times and it has always been extremely accurate except for one part of town that had new road construction that Google didn't know about. I filed a report and they're already fixing it. Other than that, it's been perfect.

So far the nav has been very accurate for me every time except for once - A few weeks ago I was trying to get to a school in the next town (already knew how to get there), and it missed by about a mile.

Just checked it on the web and my droid and it's accurate now.
