Accurate Available Space on SD Card

Lurker
New Droid User (a couple of them)...
I've added a 32GB SD card to my Droid, no problems... Currently just wanting to sync music, pics, etc to there... Which I've done mostly by dragging a dropping... Creating a few folders, etc...

That all seemed to work fine, mostly... Music was found (although on my daughters Droid 2, almost all her Album art showed up (we copy/pasted from a WMP sync folder on a PC)... On my Droid 3 I finally downloaded "Albim Art Grabber" to fix the art... Videos and Pictures are found...

But when I look in Setup=>Space =>SD Card...
Total Space is nearly equal to Avail space? And I know there are 10s of GB of music out there...

Ideas?

Since I started the post, I've downloaded diskusage... The results for the SD card are:
/mnt/sdcard = 11.636BB (And it shows my music and Videos (and 950MB of Free)
/mnt/sdcard-ext = 30.592GB (Only shows a dcim folder (and 30.589 GB Free)

Now I'm a bit more confused...

The results for the SD card are:
/mnt/sdcard = 11.636BB (And it shows my music and Videos (and 950MB of Free)
/mnt/sdcard-ext = 30.592GB (Only shows a dcim folder (and 30.589 GB Free)

From those numbers, looks like your 10GB of music are on the internal SD, along with several MB's of apps.

When you tell the phone to move apps to the SD Card...uh, "media area" it refers the built-in one.

Thanx Ricochet!

After reading your post, I thought I'd document *very* completely the space on the cards, viewed both from my PC and from the Droid...

I was surprised to see that my Droid actually exports three "drives" to my PC:
* Motorola CD Drive
* MOT (11.3 GB Total) The drive I had been exporting music to
* Removeable Disk (29.8 Total - Almost empty)

I had not noticed the third drive show up! When I looked inside to make sure I wasnt confusing myself again, I see a DCIM and LOST.DIR folder.

Much better now!
