Please help i take a picture using camera. Thumbnail shows picture fine but when tap on picture to bring up i get either full or partiallygrey obscured picture. Have tried redirecting picture file to sd card but makes no difference. What am i doing wrong.

Personally, I'd get your lens checked out. I've not experienced that issue myself and if the full image is obscured it could very well be a lens issue. Beyond that I couldn't say as everything has always worked fine for me on the camera end.
Remember that a thumbnail could be cropped and is also very tiny so could be hiding detail. The problem definitely sounds unique and is not a phone/app/firmware issue.
Sorry forgot to mention can see picture fine when first view but blanks out after that and doesn't happen to all pictures. Beginning to think i have a glitch !!
