Ace 2 to Jellybean PH

hi everyone,

anyone here from philippines updated thier ace 2 to jellybean? is it official? what i mean is that if it dont need to root my phone to update it.

any review if it worth updating now, is it stable?

please link step by step tutorial on how to update ace 2 to jellybean.

I updated my phone via kies, official. Mas gusto ko ang JB kesa sa GB. So far stable siya, no problems with video playback etc.
 
At start wlang probelama ang jb sa pinas after a days bgla lng nagcrash ang browser tapus bgla mg hang so bnalik ku gngerbread ulet

Ako inapgrade q nong linggo at ngayon ang problima ko lang ay kapag ng.babrowse ako biglang mag.hahang at kahit sa youtube biglang mg.hang at kailangan pang e.off para bumalik pero maganda talaga ang jb kaya pinagtiisan ko nalng kahit papaano..
 
yep ako rin my issue kapag nag bubuff aq ng vid sa youtube sobrang lag kaya kelanyan irestart ang phone.. kaya nag aabang rin ako ng new update sa jb
 
Sana nga kahit bug fixes lang ok na yon.. Buti yong camera q ok na kasi before ng.kakacrash eh.. :o. Ikaw youtube lang ba ang problima mo.

My ace 2 running on jb so far is fine.. I think using nova launcher help a lot coz i never experince issues ryt now but sometimes still lags but not like before..
 
I' m from Philippines. I'm using Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 i860 with XXMF2 jelly bean update. So far, this firmware was causing problem. Palagi etong naghahang.

So, I tried installing the XXMG2 firmware of Russia. So far, it's stable.

Here is how i did it:

1. Downgrade to stock firmware.
2. Upgrade to XXMG2 Russian firmware.
3. Root using CWM.

MG2 is more stable than MC8 (can't speak for MF2) but it's still not stable. It does have it's hiccups occasionally but they're less pronounced than with MC8 which you pretty much HAD to root to sort out. Haven't rooted or installed a new launcher on MG2 and it's still fine.

i would i agree to the both of you it's much better than mc8 and mf2(tried them both)

and all i did was flash over mf2 i did not do any downgrade at all.
then rooted using smokey's root.zip :)
 
You messed up a little the same as I did first time. :p

There's actually an unbranded version of the russian firmware. Download it from sammobile and not samsung-updates.
 
Just this morning, my phone did a little hanging, but it was not that big deal. just continue pressing--not hold--the power button until it locks. Just wait for 5-6 seconds and it will return to normal. It only needs a little rest.:)

By the way, I'm using Nova Launcher. Heard that this is the best launcher. So far, it's true.
 
Ya, Nova Launcher's fantastic and will definitely help if you have UI lag. I'm using stock Touchwiz again now but that's only really to save space on my phone.
 
Use sammobile rather samsung-updates. I originally downloaded from samsung-updates and that landed me with the branded version. sammobile tends to be more reliable to find the right firmware.
