Root Ace hack kit htc inpire

The ace hack kit looks really simple to do. But I'm still nervous about doing it. Can anyone tell me the risks and benefits of rooting my phone. Also any programs to un-root in case I don't like it.

There are plenty of threads on this forum that discuss the benefits and risks of rooting your phone. So I'll simply say that rooting gives you the ability to take control over your phone and do things with it that you otherwise wouldn't be able to do, such as flash custom ROMs and uninstall bloatware. The main risk is that with that control, if you're not careful you can permanently brick your phone.

As for the hack kit, the latest version does a great job. After several weeks of hesitation, I finally rooted my phone this weekend with out any problems. Once you start it, it's pretty much hands-off until it's done and it leaves your current ROM intact. Just make sure you read the "effen manual" completely and follow all of the directions. And for unrooting the phone, the Ace hack kit will definitely take care of that as well. It will also restore the phone to the stock ROM. I had to put this to the test last night when I ran into a problem with a custom ROM I flashed and was unable to restore the backup. (Still not sure what happened with that.) I was anxious as hell as it went through the process, since I wasn't exactly sure it was going to work. But after an hour or so, I was back up and running. Of course I had to reinstall all my apps and get it set up how I like it. But that's better than having to go down to an ATT store with a dead phone and hoping I can get it replaced.

If you decided to do it, take the time to read some of the other threads and especially the effen manual. Make sure you set up everything on your computer and phone properly (the manual tells you exactly what you need). Then go for it. The great thing about the Advanced Ace Hack Kit is that it restores your stock ROM exactly as it was before you started the process, so you don't have to worry about flashing a custom ROM right away. You can check out ROM Manager and ClockworkMod Recovery and some of the other apps that are essential but need root to use, like Titanium Backup. You can get comfortable using those and see what they do while still having the phone work how you are used to.

I dont wanna sound rude, but as sharksfan7, there are plenty threads about this ace hack kit. Just try to read a little bit and you will find anything you need

Everything seems to go well with the Hack Ace for me, until I get to the part where it says "SELECT AND PRESS ENTER", I press 1 to Root etc., and then it says ERROR:MORE THAN ONE DEVICE AND EMULATOR

Specs are HTC Inspire with Gingerbread.
