Help Acer E210 Software Upgrade

I just bought an acer e210 be touch
and i want to change my software android os 2.2 to os 2.3 i.e gingerbread

is it possible on my phone? and could someone help me out with it?

There is an update available on the acer wesite. Unfortunately it is not a version upgrade

I actually do not know what does that upgrade do!!

How did u root it? I tried Superoneclick. It gave some msgs (I have posted the screen shot in another topic for ACER e210)

could you paste step by step instructions for the same?
