Hello everyone! First of all, I must mention that I'm a complete n00b regarding smartphones, so please excuse me if my questions are stupid, but I really need some help. I own an Acer Liquid E2 (the dual sim version), the phone is new and I only have it for a few days. When I turned it on, I have received a notification regarding a system update and I upgraded my phone from Jelly Bean 4.1 to Jelly Bean 4.2. Maybe it is useful to mention that the first attempts of installing the update failed due to server connectivity issues, but then it all went smooth. After the update, my stock sms app went nuts. I am receiving/ sending multiple instances of the same sms several times, sometimes I am unable to send the message and I must resend it and sometimes while writing an sms, the app closes and sends me directly to the home screen, with no error message. Also, the phone tends to overheat and it's running kind of slow in certain applications. I also encounter problems in downloading/installing apps from play store (the download/install simply freezes sometimes at a certain percent). I have tried several keyboards and several sms apps for the messaging problem, clearing the data&cache of the apps/keyboards, factory reset, nothing worked. Should I downgrade the system to the stock version or is there any quick fix or other option that I am missing? Please excuse me for the spelling/grammar mistakes, as English is not my native language and thank you for reading this and for the help you are offering.
