Activate data plan by sms with tablet

Many carriers require you to send a text to activate prepaid data. How can i do that with a tablet and no dialer?

Look at your applications installed on your tablet. Do you have a messaging app?

Does your tablet even have 3G and messaging capabilities?

Anyway, the data plan is ties to your SIM and not your device, so you can pop the SIM into a phone, send the message, wait for activation confirmation, then return the SIM back into the tablet.

Can you message with wifi? I setup google voice & Talkatone on my Tab 2, I already had a google number to use. I was able to not only text but dial & receive calls.
