Activate voice from lockscreen

I am sorry if this is a dumb question or has been asked before but is there any way to enable voice searches or commands from the lock screen on the LG Connect?

I know the new versions of android come with application launchers from the lockscreen but it doesn't seem like this version has anything like that.

Not that I am aware of, I think that is a Kitkat and Jellybean only feature.

Gingerbread which is what we have is several generations behind.

Gingerbread>ICS,Jellybean>Kitkat (oldest to newest)
