Activating a Flashed EVO 3d

Hey guys, I got my hands on a half flashed HTC EVO 3D (Talk and SMS only). No service currently on it. If I wanted to activate it on an existing account or activate it with a new account it's not as easy as scanning the ESN into the system right? I'm a Metro Dealer employee and we don't flash phones so I don't know what the procedure is.

EDIT: I should add that this phone was in fact activated on Metro once before. Scanning the ESN shows its past owners.

yeah just scanning to put it in your account is enough to get calls and text. You are going to have to provision data and mms manually though
