Root Activating a rooted Tbolt

Hi all,

I'm looking to reactivate my rooted Thunderbolt that I deactivated for a while. How do I do this without alerting Verizon of the root? Will they even know?

What service do I use to do this?

do you have an active sim in another 4g device? if so,just stick it in :)

if not,you can either call vzw and have them send you a new sim if needed(they may be able to reactivate your old one),or you go into a store.

if you have to go into a store, they likely would not know, but id prolly restore a stockish rom, remove any custom splashes, and restore stock boot animation.

its a verizon phone,yes?

yes, that adapter should work. i used one to put the micro sim from my galaxy nexus into my thunderbolt and rezound. worked fine :) tho the way the sim card slot is designed on the rezound,it was a mild PITA getting it back out

if you want to easily swap beteen a phone taking a micro and one taking a full size sim,the adapter is the way to go

Thanks. I have found out that my old sim in the Thunderbolt is now invalid so I am going to try to DIY a sim adapter first. If that doesn't work then I'll look for a normal adapter.

Pics to come!!

Okay. It works fine. I just took an old regular sized sim card and hollowed out the space for the micro sim. My Tbolt now has full service and it will be simple to switch back and forth. Very simple.

Thanks
