Did you make sure the SIM isn't in upside down?
Did you call CS? I had two great convos with them when I bought my phone....they could possibly help you over the phone before hitting a store....
I had this happen when I activated an DX2. I called VZW and they were able to straiten it out. The woman I was on the phone with said it was a Moto thing. It really only took five minutes. Just a hint, it is easier if you use another phone to stay on the line with VZW while they work on your Razr.
