Activation Question on New Incredible

My phones will be here on the 23rd...

My current phone a Blackberry Curve (my daughter has this phone) is active on a old Alltel Data Plan...

I changed to Verizon plan and added a line for me and ord. 2 Incredibles, one to replace the Curve and added a new line of service.
The Question is...
My Daughter has the Curve on the old Alltel plan that I mentioned and is out of town next week. I am getting the new line and want to know if I can activate the new line before I activate her Incredible or if the old Alltel Curve that she has will continue to work.. or do I have to activate both phones at the same time. I asm thinking that when I activate my new line that my service will then show as the Verizon plan and not the Alltel that I currently have.

Basically what I am asking is will her Alltel Curve still work if I activate my new phone on the new Verizon plan or will she have to activate her phone to continue service.

I had heard that the Alltel phones would not work if you changed to a Verizon plan. Thanks

What plan could VZW offer that would make you want to switch?
But anyways they should be able to turn on one phone without de activating the other, if hers will be primary, it might be tricky but I'm sure they can manage it.

Well the Alltel plan we are on was 450 mn I think a month with nights and weekends at 7 and is 91.00 a month with 1 line (The Curve).
I was going to have to pay 40.00 more a month to add a line (another Smartphone) and I was concerned about the minutes being enough for 2 lines.
I changed to the Verizon 700 minutes talk and text and Verizon gives my county (employees) gives us a 19% discount on Verizon plans ( I had 15% on Alltel) and it was pretty much going to be about the same price except I lost the 7pm and the My Circle, but got a few more minutes.

I dont know if I did the right thing or not...I beat it around for about a month before deciding what to do.
