Help Ad blocker S3 mini

I am losing the will to live with all the ads that keep popping up when I am browsing the Internet or on Facebook. I have seen lots of different apps that block ads but they all say phone needs to be rooted. So first of all is it safe to root mobile and if so do ad blockers actually work? Pls reply in plain English I'm not very technical Thanks

Yes rooting is the only way to be able to install a true adblocker on your phone.
They do work, I use AdAway and it is very effective. So much so that Google some time ago banned it from the Play store and it has to be obtained from other sources.
You have to decide if you are comfortable with the process (which it sounds like you aren't from your post) or live with the ads. Perhaps you have a family member or friend who is more familiar with the technical side of things and can help you.
There is a sub-forum dedicated to your particular phone and under that is an "All Things Root" sub-section. Here is the link-

Do some reading in there and you can decide if it's something you are willing to attempt.

Or, maybe you could get apps that don't do popup ads. I don't experience any of those ads you mention, so it may be that.

Have you blocked popups in the settings of the browser you use? This will stop many of the ads.

Root it using fastboot or Odin, Fastboot (fastboot flash update root_yourdevice.zip) wherever your device is build and model, and if you downloaded it, and flashed it, you'll get free root access, You download the adblocker from jrummy apps, and install it, then switch on ad block to ensure that no ads are coming out of the Facebook or browser app, If on browser, still getting ads, you download AdBlock Plus for browsers android to ensure that no ads are coming out of the browser.

Please note that the rooting process takes 2 reboots.

Why reboots?
Reboots are the important part of flashing, fastbooting or going to recovery to ensure that the changes are exist and complete.

Reboot 1 does: Your device waits for your computer to enter fastboot commands, and then says that is flashing via OTA.
Reboot 2 does: Your device adds android guy icon and his friend the spinning blue wheel and the device is configuring for the root process, says reinstalling Android, but it is rooting.
