Root Ad-Hoc in ICS

My DX isn't activated, so I tether to another android for internet. I've tried Gummy, CM9, and MIUI v4 and none can detect ad hoc networks.

Are there any android 4.0 roms that support ad-hoc networks or a method to enable the phone to detect them?

try using a static ip

If I switch to static IP, it won't let me save
