Adding contacts

I traded my 9630 tour today for the htc hero and am happy so far, I backed up my contacts on my pc(from tour) and was wondering if there is a way i can load them to my new tour?

Get your contacts into gmail contacts (into specific group, you may create group "phone"), and read this:

oh, and when you add new contact on your phone, select "Google" in contact type. This will keep it in sync

i would need the old phone then huh?

all I have is the IPD backup file from the blackberry

Just google for something like "Convert IPD to csv", i'm sure you'll find something.
Then import csv file into gmail contacts (it has it option)

all i keep finding is ABC Amber, i tried it but my anti-virus keeps blocking it

or maybe if there is a way to print the IPD file to manually enter contacts..

IF YOU have outlook on your PC you can import the contacts file. then export to your google account. Then sync the Hero with your google acct. under settings, data synchronization... google.
