Adding lines to my grandfathered account?

Ok, here is my question...

My parents and my wife are moving from sprint to verizon. I am currently on a grandfathered unlimited data plan (I use around 3-5 gbs a mo, which if I went to their share data plan I would be paying more than I am now). But my wife and parents used a combined 30mbs on sprint last month..yes thats megabytes.

So could I add 3 lines as share everything while keeping my line unlimited, meaning they could share the 1 or 2gbs of data and I keep my unlimited data?

I called verizon and asked and all they would tell me is that I cannot use the old family plans ($30 for 2gb).

This is the one place I'm not sure of. I think if you switch to a family plan you will lose unlimited. But I'm not positive. A Verizon CSR is probably your best bet. But if you don't like the first answer, try again. Not all CSRs are the same level of helpfulness I'm afraid.

Great advice!, finally got through to a CSR that understood my situation. First 2 had no idea, 3rd one kept telling me that all I needed to do was switch to share everything and just use less data and i'd be fine, lol.

And yes, he really did tell me that I needed to "connect to wifi more often" I then told him that I do, but we do not have wifi at work.
