adding more fonts

Is there any way to add more fonts to the motion? I'm rooted and know about the font changing apps on the play store, but what I'm trying to do is add more fonts so I can change them in the display settings, like so

I've tried adding ttf fonts to System/Font, but they didn't show up :/

Good luck getting an answer to this. I've been asking everyone about this for almost a year. No body seems to care though...
