Right I'm trying to load some ripped cd's on my phone and getting nowhere. I put 16 albums on the other week and now its just not wanting to keep the new stuff I try to put on it.

I got a 32g micro card and took out the 2g so there is plenty room. I've pulled the card popped it in an adaptor put it in my computer, made a music folder and dragged n dropped files in. They load and even play from the card but I pull it, pop it back in phone, gone.

I connect the phone with USB, open USB bringing card folder up on computer, drag n drop and same again all good till I disconect the phone. Poof gone

I've even used keis to no avail. It seems like the card is not a good one but it holds downloaded gamed n apps just not my music.

It's really doing my head in so I thought I'd put this to you lot. Someone out there must know what's going on and what I'm doing wrong.

Cheerz in advance. ;)

Step 1. You must create a new folder on your SD card and name it Media. Note: there may already be a Media folder on your SD card. In that case, go to step 2.

Step 2. Create a new folder inside of the Media folder and name it Audio. Put your music files in this Audio folder and your phone should be able to find and play them.

I opened the files and found a media folder. Opened it and found an audio folder. Opened that and found a notification file so put a music file next to that. Shut off mass storage and unplugged USB, opened music folder on phone and its not there . I have the other albums but not the new one i just added.
So I reconnected the phone and looked in the folder and its gone.

To add music on your SD card make a folder called 'Music' in the following location Media\Audio\Music. You might find this useful.

Also found this in the Galaxy Ace User guide.
You can also play music files in the following formats : mid, xmf, rtttl, imy, rtx, ota, amr, wav, mxmf. Some file formats are not supported depending on the software of the device. If the file size exceeds the available memory, an error can occur when you open files.
