when i touch an address in the address book, the GPS facility is automatically activated. How can I stop this happening so that I can simply read the address?
 
When you touch the address, it's assumed that you want to go there, or at least see where it is, so you're given a choice of map programs. I haven't found any way to turn that off, except to edit first (the pencil at the top).
