Root AdFree Error

So I rooted my phone successfully but when I try to use AdFree and it gets to the process of updating my host file, I get this error:

Unable to locate a partition to remount to write the host file to.

Any tips?

same here. used to work fine but cannot update or revert without getting that error.

the error above is given when i try to update. a slight different error "Unable to locate a partition to remount to write the hots file to"

sadly, have found no solution to this anywhere.
