Most of the time my admire won't recognize the SD card (that came with it) I have inside as being there. It will get stuck in Media Scanner running for a long time or just give up. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions to fix it other than the "pull it out, put it back in?"

I tried but is is write protected. Any idea how to undo that?

That's weird. The SD Card I got with my phone wasn't write protected and even worked in four other phones I tried it in. Are you trying to format it on your phone or computer? If on your phone make sure the SD Card is UNMOUNTED.
