Help :Admire Phone "Couldn't Connect" when tapping mic emblem

I'm in good reception MetroPCS areas. For four days now whenever pressing the mic emblem to dictate a text message, the display shows "Couldn't Connect". Have removed the battery for an hour and powered up -----> still malfunctions.

Other than repairing/replacing the phone, any suggestions on a cure ?

Problem solved. New phone. BUT now I'm missing apps. New thread.
