Help Adobe Flash Player to HDMI Full Screen Freeze?

Lurker
I am brand new to XOOM/android/tablets. I wanted to go to abc.com and watch a back episode of Grey's Anatomy. Got there without any problems, clicked on the video and it says I needed Flash Player. Went to the market and downloaded Adobe Flash Player and installed. Went back to abc.com to the Grey's Anatomy episode and it plays. Now when I hook up the HDMI to my HDTV, as long as I don't go full screen, it plays. When I try to go to full screen, both screens go black, but the sound keeps going - the video basically freezes. The only way I can get it to stop is unplug the HDMI from the XOOM, but the episode audio continues to play. The browser freezes. The only way I can get the browser free is to power down the XOOM and restart.

Any ideas or help????

BTW - full screen youtube videos play just fine. But I guess they're not flash?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Ken

It is broken. Adobe is not fixing it. Motorola says it isn't their issue. Verizon doesn't care if this is why you bought your Xoom from them, you still need to pay your $50/month to send Internet Service to the essentially useless device. It doesn't matter that the primary selling point of the Xoom over the iPad at the time of purchase was the support of Flash. Apparently manufacturers can reprogram and send updates without your permission to your devices disabling features and the Wireless Company you purchased the devce from wiill tell you it isn't their fault and continue to charge you money.

Isn't it great to know that just about anything you own can be modifed remotely by the manufacturer without your permission to remove features and functions that caused you to purchase the device in the first place? And as a consumer, you don't have the right to ask that [at the very least] the manufacturer reset the device to the software it had on the day you purchased the device. I'm surprised they don't just push out updates to phones rendering them incapable of making calls so you'll have to buy a new one. Verizon will let you know it isn't their fault, you need to continue to purchase service for the device despite the manufacturer intentionally breaking it. The manufactuer will tell you the Wireless provider forced them to oush the updates and they can't possibly reset the devices to the state they were in at the time of purchase because this is a violation of their contract with the wireless provider.

You should file complants with the BBB against the manufactuer and wireless provider for pushing updates that disabled a feature which was used to market the device to you. You should also file a compaint with the FSS regarding the Wireless Service provider's allowing updates to be pushed over their network disabling such features. Then file a complaint with the FTC regrading the devices themselves and the legality for the manufactuer to force an update that breaks one of the primary features/functions you purchased the device for and refuses to set the device back to the state it was in at the time of purchase or refund the purchase price.
