Adobe Flash Player

do a google search for archived adobe flash player versions. under the archived versions select your operating system (there's options for android towards the bottom)

here's a link to an adobe forum discussing this exact issue:

---> Adobe Community: Help me please, Flash player does not want to get installed in my galaxy note 10.1 (Android 4.0.4)

here's a link to the archived versions of adobe:

---> Archived Flash Player versions

downloading a version should place an apk file into your downloads folder and you can install from there. (** see reason for edit below**)

First I want to thank you for your speedy response. I followed the instructions on that thread and still nothing. I have os 4.1.2 and I did not find a version for this os. I am going to keep trying though.

if you're unable to get it working properly you could always download another browser from the market that has flash built into it also...

Thank you again. I found my problem and I really feel stupid. I got in the habit of using Dolphin to open FB and opened it using Firefox this time and guess what, Flash Player worked.
Again, thank you very much, your assistance is greatly appreciated. :)
