Help Ads everywhere on device

[dontpanicbobby]

Lately I've been getting ads everywhere including my homescreen and the reading program I use. They are banners at the bottom and sometimes the top and even include fullscreen spalshes. As i type this an ad for Google store pop up on top. I recently installed Polarity Browser, photobucket mobile, and Mini Golf: Retro. Any idea what is causing this? Heck, my homescreen? That's beyond intusive. A full screen ad just popped up while I was typing this!

Here's a screenshot of a top banner ad

Try uninstalling some apps you downloaded one by one and see which one is the culprit. If you uninstall a app and the ads go away then that was the one causing the trouble.

If it were the old push notifications then Addons Detector would tell you which app is responsible. May still be worth a try.

I tried uninstalling all recent apps with no success so I decided to hard reset and start over. First time I ever had to do that.

Well hopefully the problem doesn't come back again. Keep an eye on what you install that way if it happens again just uninstall the application.

So far, So good. No pop ups. I'm only going to install apps I really think I need from now on instead of installing them just because they're new. Well not games maybe. I hope this doesn't return when I re-install Mini Golf: Retro. That was really fun to play.
