I keep getting ads on my notification bar, any suggestions for an app that will stop this happening? Got a few apps so would take far too long to search the permissions for all of them. Any help would be gratefully appreciated!

Are you rooted? There is an app called "ad away" I'm running it on my evo lte and it works really well, but it does require root.

well its definetely from an app you downloaded...ive never actually had the problem...so i cant remember the name of the app...but i know someone will chime in and let you know what it is...but there is an app that will search your phone and let you know which app is causing the problem

Use Addons Detector or Airpush Detector from the play store to get rid of those ads. They are the result of something that you downloaded.

Rather than try to explain them it may, it may be easier for you to do a Google search on those 2 apps

What apps were causing the ads? Please share so we can stay away from those apps.

The stupid test- the irony wasn't lost on me either. I shall keep an eye to see if I still get ads now that I've deleted it.

These companies are really shooting themselves in the foot with some of their ads. I use one app that has the google ad service. When it's a static ad I don't mind it. but When they scroll its really distracting. I have to exit out, turn off mobile data and go back in.

I would be fine with the less obtrusive ads but since some are so obnoxious I am being pushed to root my phone, use ad away and get rid of *all* ads.

The app does not have a paid version unfortunately.
