Apps Adult Rated Android Application Policy

Can anyone advise on the policy that google play have against Adult Rated apps? I am not talking porn, just simply an eccomerce application that basically shows a website that sells adult products. Or some type of informative application that is adult rated, but no explicit pictures etc

I moved the to the application development forum for better exposure.

I'm no developer, but I've scanned the developer guidelines for Play a time or two. I think I remember there being a restriction against apps that simply re-display a website. You may need to get past that before content rating. I'm not positive though, just going from memory.

I think this is the section of the developer policy that @Unforgiven was referring to:

Do not post an app where the primary functionality is to:

• Drive affiliate traffic to a website or
• Provide a webview of a website not owned or administered by you (unless you have permission from the website owner/administrator to do so)

So if its your website (or that of a client), you should be fine.

There's also the bit of the policy that states "Apps that contain or promote pornography are prohibited".

For your e-commerce approach, though, I *think* you should be fine. After all, you can buy "adult products" through the Amazon app.

That's just my guess, though. I don't know for sure.
