Advanced Noise Detection App Needed

I am looking for an application that can sample a sound and then be able to use that unique sound to create an alert when detected. I have seen simple applications that can be set to detect specific noise levels, but I am looking for something more intelligent that has the ability to use an audio analyzer to create a unique audio signature to detect using: dbA, frequency, harmonics, etc.

Any help would be much appreciated!
