Advanced Task Killer

I have a Desire Z and have Advanced Task Killer installed, which always worked perfectly on my previous Android phone.

However, I'm starting to wonder if I really need it. I still need to recharge my phone almost every night, so I'm not sure if the task killer has any added value...

So my question to other Android users is: Task Killer, yay or nay?

Nay, definitely nay.

Recent versions of Android (2.1 and up) performs pretty well as it's own Task Killer without the need for an external one. They can often worsen battery life. There's a Phandroid vid which explains it pretty well:

I've Googled a bit and actually found that most Android users recommend to NOT use any task killer apps. After watching the video you provided, I've decided to delete the app and see how my phone (and battery life) behaves. Thanks for your reply!
