Advanced Task Killer?

What good is Advanced Task Killer? I can hit "kill selected apps" and within a minute or so, all of them (FB, email, voice command etc) are back open. Trying to cut down on batter drain. Any advice? Oh yeah...auto kill level is set to agressive, security level is high - should I change these settings?

Some people actually think task managers work against the battery. I just manually kill apps.

The Google OS will kill apps as the memory is needed. Theres no problem with battery life if you let the OS do its job. Task Killers can cause a lot of problems for the Android OS. Some apps need to run in the background to work corectly, thats why they keep turning back on because the OS is re-starting them. You shouldn't kill anything, let the OS do what its program to do.

the phone has one built in called task manager. hold the home button down and a screen will popup and you can select task manager. there is a tab at the top that will allow you to safely kill any apps you need to

I bought juice defender because after I installed the free version, my battery lasted at least 50% longer.

advanced task killer is not needed and may actually cause a battery drain. it takes the same amount of power to keep 1 GB of memory full as it does when the memory banks are empty, so why not keep it loaded with stuff you might need? the OS will terminate apps automatically as needed. otherwise, ATK will use power to terminate them, and then the OS will use power to load then up again. empty memory is wasted memory.

someone made an analogy to golf. your caddy should have all you're golf clubs ready when you need them. having ATK is like telling your caddy to leave the clubs in the car and bring an empty golf bag, and then asking him to fetch a single club from the car when you need something. you'll have to wait, and it takes energy to perform the tasks.

using my favorite, "quick app manager and cache cleaner", it is very flexible and allows fast and easy organization by putting a star next to apps needed to clean or kill. there is also a great, free stock task manager. i use both.

"quick app manager and cache cleaner" market link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.cerisierbleu.qac&feature=search_result

HOWEVER, I HAVE FOUND THAT THESE APPS JUST RESTART AUTOMATICALLY.

the free, stock phone app, already on your phone, "task manager", also closes apps and cleans cache. look under applications, then select task manager.

i use both of the above apps just for cleaning cache, as 90% sadly just open up again and start running, to data mine and spy. for example, i do not have facebook and other social apps, but they just come alive like the undead.
