AdvanceS Lidroid Settings IMEI Exploit

It's almost certainly not malicious, but code has been found in the Lidroid settings application that sends your location and IMEI number to a web server.

This program is used in most custom ROMs to configure your status bar toggles.

I've created a flashable zip that has this suspicious coding removed for Alliance ROM:

Thanks Hawker for bringing that to my attention.

Malicious or not... no one in China, or anywhere else for that matter, should be getting access to my IMEI number and location without my knowledge and asking nicely and politely first.

Have flashed the NEAT ROM AdvancedS fix as I guess it applies to your mod, here, old boy.

Worse than the above though is, how can I tell my friends that Hawker has given me a textually transmitted disease? :nurse:
