How do I opt out of ads on my cellphone...they are coming through as a notification
 
If you are running Android v4.1 Jelly Bean or later, long-press the notification and it will ID the app that sent it. At that point, you can either uninstall the app, or go into Settings > Manage apps, and disable notifications for the app in question. Otherwise, install the free app, Airpush Detector, and it will ID the app(s) for you.
