Hey all. I didn't want to post a thread like this, but I'm at the end of my rope and need some advice now. Please, chime in with any helpful comments.
I've had an Incredible for 2 years now and LOVED it. It kicked the bucket recently and I had to update to something else. My girlfriend has an Incredible 2 and I like it, but I'm not signing up for an already dated phone for 2 years.
I've been waiting patiently for the Incredible 3 to pop up and followed the Rezound news closely. I got one when they finally came out. I liked it, but I had a few issues that were big enough for me to send it back:
1) It was very warm to the touch after mere minutes of use.
2) The battery went SUPER fast, when I was only setting up and playing with my phone (no gaming, no videos, just messing around).
3) I couldn't get Beautiful Widgets to download - no idea why, unless it's not compatible with Rezound.
4) The usuals...battery life, missing Flashlight app, bloatware.
So, I just decided I didn't want to have to deal with extended or extra batteries and all that for another 2 years. I don't care about Beats at all. I HATE the stock HTC clock widget, (but really liked Beautiful Widgets). (Maybe BW works on the Rezound now? Anyone?) SO, I decided to try an iPhone for the first time ever.
Another problem is, honestly, Android is getting too complicated for me. Playing with my Rezound it was menu-within-menu-within-menu.
I do like the 4S, but I REALLY miss Android - or at least, my Incredible.
What I'm asking for are opinions on whether I should trade the iPhone back to give the Rezound another chance. I have around 8 days left of the worry-free-guarantee so time is a factor and I'm trying to give the iPhone a fair chance.
If you will, can someone explain to me (in simple terms) what you can do with Android & a Rezound that you can't with iPhone 4S. Seriously. It's all gotten to be too complicated for me and I'd like to see a good discussion about this.
(Also, I've read a lot of comments about people saying they're going to switch from the Rezound to the Nexus, etc. when they're released. How are they doing this - simply paying full price? I can't imagine they're all just paying $800 for a phone.)
I'm sorry this is so long, but I'd really appreciate a helpful discussion to help me make up my mind on which phone I'll have for the next 2 years.before it's too late.
