advice on a factory reset

I want to go back to the original firmware on my android 2.2 flytouch3 because I cannot now after rooting download any thing from the market place - is this possible to be done...

I installed s01 to see if I could get my dongle to work still dosent work so I am now worse off then before

Any advice welcome

Did you replace the ROM after rooting or did you just root it and not do anything else like flashing?

If you changed the ROM, you need to flash the original ROM, but if you did no such thing, you are still using the original firmware even if you root.

I didn't do anything after installing the new firmware so how do I replace the ROM and flash? will this help with downloads from the market place?

sorry to ask what may seem such simple questions but I am a noob to all this

I have tried a factory restore and I cant even get my old firmware back so looks like I am stuck trying to fix what I have unless I can reinstall what I had on originally

I have only had the pad for one week I did do some downloads but not much and I am quite happy with the new firmware if I can the market place to work its doing my head in LOL
