ADW close app animations

I am using a rooted VZW USA gs3 running cm 10.1.3 stable

When I use ADW to close apps (pushing the home button), I get the animation where the current app flys out of the top and the homescreen comes in through the bottom (I think this is supposed to be related to multitasking...). Im not sure how well im describing this, but I think you can get what i mean.
This doesn't happen on trebuchet (cm's default launcher)

Any advice on making it do a normal close animation? Or is that just how ADW always does close animations? I know its a small matter, but its annoying me :(

ADW does have settings. It is under Settings, but it could be under desktop, app drawer- could even be included with the theme - you will have to hunt.

I've got it on a Nexus 4, and managed to turn off all animations. I don't like them.
I customize themes, and never use any premade wallpaper that comes with the theme. I like my own photos better since they mean something to me. I also use none of the extras. It took a bit of experimentation to get it, since none of the descriptions of the settings are exactly clear if you don't recognize some of the terms.

Wait what? I know about ADW's themes and settings. I too don't use stock wallpapers, thats just boring :)

My question is specifically about the animation that you get when closing an app. I know you can change the animation that plays when opening an app, but im not sure if i can change the one for closing apps, because im getting the multitasking (i think thats what it is) animation when i close apps, which I dont think i should be.

Sorry for any confusion my first post caused... or if i misread yours and now i look like a massive jerk. :)

I don't have any animation when closing an app. Maybe the rooted but stock Nexus 4 doesn't have any built in.

I have a couple of apps that have a command to exit. They just turn off. I'm not running any animations at all - either open or close.

I had a Nexus S with CM 9.1 and no animations.

Did you try NOT using any animation on start? The setting you are using for opening animation may just have the closing animation built in.

Yeah I can turn them off if I want too, but I like having them on. I don't want to have to turn them off

Are you using the free or paid version? I'm using the paid and don't see a selection for closing animation.

The closing sequence is probably built into the whole animation. You won't be able to control it unless you find a launcher or app that lets you choose between open and shut down. It's probably easier and more efficient to write it that way.

Why not ask here for info on any other launchers and give up on ADW. Someone must know. Everyone has favorites that they know well.

Yeah, the problem is adw because I downloaded Nova and it works fine.
Will be submitting a big report and using Nova until adw fixes it.
Anyone got a launcher that you like better than Nova? I'm still on the fence.
