Apps Affiliate links tracking?

How do android apps handle affiliate links tracking? Do i have to redirect all my aff links through the browser to get my affiliate links tracked ?

Or how do you guys track your affiliate links? Does it even work with android app/browser?

I dont know of a way to track affiliate links through GooglePlay directly, so I think you're correct, you would need to go through a website and/or develop your own solution or look for a 3rd party solution.
