I wanted to share my experience with this phone, as I really wanted to love it. So many aspects of this phone I did love. The size, weight, layout, screen, and even the battery life (most of the time...I'll explain later). GPS connected fairly quickly too (I post that because my HTC inspire had horrible GPS).
I don't want to sound whiney or complaining, as most people do when they return things. I want to be as objective as possible. Like I said, I gave it 32 days, and had to discuss with ATT for 45 minutes on whether or not they would allow me to return.
Basically, I had to restart this phone anywhere from 3-6 times per day. Bluetooth was a major issue. It would not connect to my car at all times. It would be paired, but 50% of the time I had to go in and manually connect it. Other times it was automatic. Sometimes the Bluetooth “process” would freeze up the entire phone and I would have to remove the battery, or wait for it to cycle itself off. When the Bluetooth did connect, sometimes I would make a call or two and it was fine. On the next call I would do a voice-command of who to call, my car would confirm it, and it would say “active call”, but I would look at the phone and no call was being made. Blue tooth was saying it was connected, but eventually the phone would cycle itself off.
It did this with several other processes. Music Player being another major culprit. Sometimes, simply trying to play a song, the screen would go black, the task buttons at the bottom would light up and then suddenly it would cycle itself off.
Other times it would be system processes that would have to force close. Sometimes the phone would come back on and all my “widgets’’/shortcuts would be gone and it would just be a homescreen with nothing on it.
This phone had serious issues when trying to run a few things in the background. For example, if I wanted to play music, I had to end Facebook in my phone entirely.
The constant restarting just became too much. It reminded me of when VISTA first came out for windows.
I’ve seen these similar complaints in other websites as well.
EDIT: I meant to add the issue with the battery. For the most part, I could get that bad boy to work pretty well for me. But, I had these odd situations where it would lose 20-30% overnight with nothing really running on it. Most of the time it would lose 2-3% like a normal phone should, but those nights it lost 20-30% was just so odd.
