Hi,

Had my S5 now for about 2 months. Absolutely love it.. One thing I can't stop though is the returning deleted e-mails.. Just just keep re-appearing. Sometimes within 10-15 minutes later..

I checked the e-mail settings and nothgin seems set wrong. I am using the default e-mail app that came with the phone.

Never ahd this issue on my S3.. Anyone have any ideas..

Thanks

I honestly do not know.. I looked in settings but saw nothing about pop3 or IMAP.. Where do I look. I have the verizon S5..

Thanks

Try this email app out, fixed it for me.

I will give that a try but I would still like to know how to configure the stock e-mail app to not continuously return deleted e-mails.. Just incase I don't like the app..

Thanks again :-)

I get this too. I'm pretty sure I'm on imap, but I keep getting emails re-appear till I bin them on the PC. tedious.
never had it on the last phone, same email accounts.

Also, on last phone (Galaxy Nexus) I was able to tell it to always show images from certain senders. doesn't seem to available now?

Not sure I'd it's in the settings 100% but it could be an issue where you don't have it set to "delete from server"

Without this ticked they will just get re-synced

I am having he same issue across three different email addresses set up as pop3 from three different providers. My incoming setting are set to "Delete email from server When deleted from InBox". I am on the phone with AT&T support now (for the last 30 minutes) and they are connected to my phone reviewing settings and she is stumped too. If they find any solution, I will certainly post a message.

After a 2 hour call with AT&T then Samsung, not definitive resolution. AT&T did state that they have received several calls with this issue. Samsung did clear out the cache on my GMail and EMail applications as a potential solution. I then popped out the battery to perform a hard re-boot and will see if this issue re-occurs. If so, I will have to contact Samsung again.

Go into "Account" for each of those email accounts and see if you can find a Delete on Server option.

If you don't, it would really be worthwhile to invest a bit of time looking at this one.

it is super fast, and it works every time.
Access to folders is neat, just slide the screen left to right.

The Delete On Server is not the issue. AT&T support said that this is a known issue with the S5 and they have not found a solution. Contacted Samsung support twice and they have no resolution and no knowledge of this issue, which I find very strange. I did change two of my email accounts to use iMap this afternoon and this has not been an issue in the last 6 hours. Time will tell over the next couple days.

I realize you have talked to "the support" folks but you have to realize that basically they are just Script Readers and if they can't find a resolution in the script on their screen, then they don't have a fix.

This is true regardless of you talking to the carrier support folks or to the Samsung support folks. They are Script Readers. You will not get a true engineer on your problem regardless of how many hours you waste on the phone with them.

Been there, done that too many times.

Switching to iMap is not available to a lot of free email accounts which only support pop3.

I am on Verizon and I have looked at each and every e-mail setting/option and there is no option to delete from/on server.

Does anyone who has Verizon know where that option is or if it even exists.

Thanks

My issue was resolved but not on the S5. I took it back to AT&T and got a Galaxy Note. Set up my 4 email accounts exactly the same as it was on my Galaxy 2 and S5 and now I am not having any issues. I didn't want to try and just swap out the phone for another S5 in the off chance it would occur again.
