Help After downloading ICS I can not play not play video in web browserb

Jeffw

Lurker
After downloading ICS on my HTC Thunderbolt the other night I notice I can no longer play videos from web pages, as I either get a black screen where you would view the video, or a white screen with a cube that has a question mark on top. I also notice I can no longer play You Tube videos through the web browser. I have to check the You Tube application to view the You Tube videos. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Also, Has anyone had the problem with the left side of the touch screen becoming un-responsive. In portrait mode the letters Q, A, Z, Uppercase don't work. I have to switch to landscape to uses these letters. This happened before downloading ICS. Any idea on how to fix this problem

Thanks bozos

I have the same issue and the ***** at verizon were no help.
They expect me to pay my total bill but give me a 90% functioning phone.

Yes flash is needed. Download it from the link above. Flash is no longer supported by Adobe and they removed it from the play store but you can still side load it.

Most websites are removing flash as it is pretty bad. his will be less and less of an issue as time goes on.

had this issue when verizon replaced my tbolt with a droid razr with ics. i installed a browser called puffin browser from the play store which has a clunky work around to watch flash videos but it works. i use puffin just for watching embedded videos.

Mayhem's link above works. Scroll down to the big green box closer to the bottom of the page. I just downloaded it. Make sure in settings your phone can download external apps. I rebooted after install and now can watch Flash videos just fine. 20 mins ago, they were a blue cube error!!
